The Utah Department of Environmental Quality, Division of Radiation Control (DRC), regulates uranium mills and 11e(2) byproduct material disposal sites in Utah.
The Department of Energy (DOE) has responsibility for the reclamation of the Moab Mill Site (former Atlas Mill) and other sites reclaimed under Title I of the Uranium Mill Tailings Radiation Control Act of 1954. DOE will also have responsibility for long term care of the other decommissioned sites when reclamation is complete.
