Blue Castle Holdings, Inc. (Formerly Transition Power Development LLC) has proposed a nuclear power plant a few miles west of the City of Green River: the Blue Castle Project. Water for the proposed project would be withdrawn from the Green River. Blue Castle Holdings is in the process of applying for an Early Site Permit (ESP) from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. An ESP would license the proposed site near Green River for future construction and operation of a Nuclear Power Plant.
